The Service exists so AI agents can research public corporate disclosures responsibly. This policy draws the line between that and abuse. It forms part of the terms of service.
Permitted
- Research, due diligence, journalism, compliance screening, and analysis built on the returned data, with source links preserved where the output makes factual claims.
- Caching results inside your own systems, subject to upstream registers' terms.
- Automated agent workloads within your plan's rate limits.
Prohibited
- Harassment, doxxing, or building dossiers on private individuals. The registers publish officer and shareholder names for market transparency; using them to target people is out of bounds.
- Evading rate limits or plan scopes: key sharing across organizations, key cycling, or distributing calls to defeat fairness controls.
- Reselling raw API access, or redistributing register content in ways the source register prohibits (for example bulk republication of HKEXnews documents).
- Representing Service output as authoritative without the source link, or stripping attribution to make fabrication undetectable.
- Any unlawful purpose, including market manipulation or insider misuse of disclosure timing.
Enforcement
Violations lead to rate reduction, suspension, or revocation depending on severity, with notice where practicable. Report suspected abuse to abuse@carrotly-ai.com.
